5. Dynamic, Bold and Bright Colour Schemes
Loving ‘Viva Magenta’! Bold, bright decisions are being made.
We’re not talking carnival though, we’re seeing considered bold colour blocking with
complimenting and opposing colours from the colour wheel.
We’re loving the energy and excitement these thoughtful palettes are delivering.
6. Professional Wedding MC’s
& Reception Entertainment
First decision – The must have professional MC
MC, Presenter and Compère – Suzanne Riley
A Professional Wedding MC’s is a must have.
Professionally keeping the evening on pace, hosting and energising, working with the entertainment and caterers.
If your Celebrant offers this service and you LOVE their energy and style,
this is a great choice as your MC . You already have history, your guests will have created a relationship and be familiar with the Celebrant so the magic can continue throughout the entire occasion.

Photo and Video Booths
For a number of years, photo booths and video booths have been entertaining your guests
before they’ve even sat down for entree, not to mention creating interesting photo guests books.
They’re still hot and will be for a while!

have shown they’re worth their weight in gold when entertaining guests after the ceremony and throughout the reception. They’re still hot and still creating fun.
7. Same Same but different
We’re there… it’s not a same sex wedding anymore, it’s now just ‘A WEDDING’
It’s taken a couple of years to truly embed into the culture and now we’re at last seeing an honest openness and equality that’s long awaited.
Hopefully we’ve seen the last of couples feeling the need to ask if a supplier is ‘LGBTQ friendly
8. The First Look – Popular Still!
Start the celebrations and the precious memories with your LOVE!
Couples are loving the idea of meeting up a couple of hours before the ceremony at a private location to have that intimate, romantic ‘first look’ first sight of each other, a moment to share out of the limelight and just between lovers … mix it up and spend most of their wedding DAY together, after all, it’s ALL about you!
The photographer captures every memory of the first moments.
Time to capture beautiful photos together and then arrive to their ceremony on time, with most of the official photos done and dusted.
See the popular BLOG here – with everything to know about this hot trend
Join guests after the ceremony for a few family photos and straight into the celebrations, nibbles, drinks, party time! No shooting off for 2 hours whilst guests are waiting.
This is the HOTTEST trend for the wedding day schedule and makes so much sense. LOVE it.

9. Wedding Festival Weekends
Why have just a wedding day?
The 3 day Wedding celebration is a ‘thing’.
Your guests will be talking about your wedding and their extended holiday
for years after they experience your once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
Pre-Organise group accomodation rates with a resort hotel of your choice and share the link with your guests.
Guests will appreciate being organised as a group and close to the action.
The 3 day itinerary delivered to guest rooms on arrival
Day 1. Pre-wedding dinner, no speeches tonight, just fun and laughter, guests meeting.
Day 2. Of course… the Wedding day festivities
Day 3. Recovery Breakfast followed by relaxed hotel pool party or beach barbecue
10. Indoor Fireworks
No More Burned Fingers
Sparkler farewells are hot, but burning fingers hot.. so they’re not cool .. let me start again 🙂
To create a sparkling farewell, opt for professional indoor fireworks
or streamers for guests to shower as a the newlyweds exit
Take a ballroom full of guests who have been enjoying an open bar for 5 hours and give them sticks on fire, and you’re asking for trouble. Sparkler farewells have been a venue and wedding planner’s worst nightmare and are on the absolutely not hot list this year.
We love and recommend G&M Events for indoor fireworks Queensland
